The seating collection started as a row of chairs that all tried to be the interesting one. The edit was brutal. We kept the Rock Chair because it disappeared under a table, the naïve chair because the back actually held a shoulder, and the lounge because people sat down and stopped talking about it.
Modern, in this room, is not a finish. It is the decision to leave a joint visible and a cushion removable. If a chair needs a paragraph to explain how to sit, it does not ship.
