Exterior work for the studio is usually a table, a set of chairs that can take weather, and one small water feature that you can hear from the kitchen and ignore from the table.
The mistake is scale. A basin the size of a bath becomes maintenance. A bowl you can lift becomes a habit. We specify stone or a thick ceramic, never a plastic liner you have to explain to a guest.
This note is from an early courtyard in the archive. The chairs have changed. The rule has not.
